- Who does Wholly Kicks serve?
We serve children and adults in the Aurora and Denver metro area who are experiencing financial hardship, housing insecurity or homelessness. We distribute new shoes and socks through trusted partners such as schools, shelters, and nonprofits.
- Can I donate used shoes?
No, we only accept new shoes and socks. Our mission is to honor the whole person—and that starts with fresh, clean, high-quality items that feel good to wear.
- How can I volunteer?
There are many ways to get involved! You can help prep shoes at a warehouse party, volunteer at community events, or support administrative tasks. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more and sign up.
- How do individuals receive shoes?
Shoes are distributed through our network of partner organizations—such as Title 1 schools, shelters, case managers and nonprofit programs. These partners help us reach those who would most benefit from new shoes.
- Can I refer someone who needs shoes?
If you’re part of a partner organization, yes! If not, please reach out via our Contact page and we’ll connect you with a referral pathway or resource.
- Are donations tax deductible?
Yes! Wholly Kicks is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization: EIN: 83-2597303. All eligible donations are tax deductible, and we’ll provide a receipt for your records.
- What kinds of shoes does Wholly Kicks need?
We accept new shoes for all ages, sizes, and genders. Everyday athletic-style shoes are most needed. We also welcome new socks and laces.
- Do you host public events?
We don’t host public events. Every shoe event is planned through trusted partners—like schools, shelters, and community organizations—so we can show up in a way that’s safe, respectful, and truly meaningful for the people we serve.
- How can my company get involved?
Organize a shoe drive, sponsor a school, or donate new inventory. We also welcome speaking invites to share our mission.
